“Lucy Mae” 1947 Airstream Liner
Lucy Mae is one of the first and one of the largest projects VCR has undertaken. This Airstream has been rebuilt from the ground up, keeping some iconic parts while being brought into this century. The only reused features on this build were the shell, ice box, silverware drawer, window frames, end caps, overhead cabinets, Humpfrey lantern, and original bronze caste Airstream emblem. The key feature of this camper is the heart pine; rescued from buildings in the historic district of downtown Charleston where the owners live. Used in the cabinetry, flooring, inner skins, and overhead doors.
